This parade and event is small-town fun! Our neighbors bring their tractors, antique cars, and mule-drawn wagons. Some build floats to celebrate the history of the founding of our nation. We always invite George and Martha Washington, Paul Revere (on his horse, of course), Betsy Ross (and her beautiful flag), James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Uncle Sam, and other outstanding characters from the Independence era.
We offer an old-fashioned apple pie auction, home-churned ice cream—many different flavors, including our famous fresh blackberry ice cream made with local fresh-picked berries—plus hamburgers and all the fixin's, and freshly smoked Boston butt sandwiches. All this deliciousness will make you lay back your ears and grin while listening to old-time bluegrass music played from our stage.
Parade will begin at 6:00 pm
Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:00 pm
