
The Smith County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its upcoming annual celebration on May 15, 2025, at the Smith County Agricultural Center in South Carthage. The theme, “Honoring Our Legacy, Building Our Future,” underscores the Chamber’s achievements and its commitment to the continued growth and well-being of Smith County.
The event will feature Mayor Jeff Mason as the distinguished guest speaker, sharing insights and reflections on Smith County’s progress and aspirations. During the program, community awards will be presented to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to enriching the lives of residents. Additionally, George McDonald will deliver a presentation honoring the legacy of Mr. Walter Glen Birdwell, the Industrial Board’s first chairman, and his wife, Helen Birdwell, highlighting their remarkable impact on the county’s development.
The celebration begins with a reception at 5:30 PM, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM. For the first time, the Chamber Board of Directors has opened the event to the public, encouraging all community members to join this meaningful occasion.
